Abstract
The C. bovis infection in 448 cattle carcasses and 267 riverine buffalo carcasses was 3.57 and 0.75 percent respectively in the animals slaughtered at Corporation Slaughterhouse, Madras. A relatively rapid and simple method of testing the viability of C bovis has been described.
