Abstract
This study analyzed 83 dairy cows urine samples undergoing antibiotic treatment with known history and were screened for the antibiotics residues by LAST test in Nutrient agar against standard strains or Gram positive and Gram negative micro-organisms. Results of this study imply that antibiotics are excreted in (12.04%) urine samples tested common being enrooxacin and oxytetracycline. The excretory pattern of antibiotics in urine and their potential as an environmental contaminant to enter the food chain beside the possibility of development of antibiotic resistant organism is discussed.
