Abstract
The species of pleurotus are generally seprophytic wood destroying fungi, which attack both cellulese and lignin components of the wood and are widespreed in the temperate zone of the world (Zedrazil and Kurtzmen, 1984). Several species of Pleurotus are known to be edible (siger, 1986). Many of these have pleasent flavour and are considered as a delicancy by the connoissaur of food.
