The study concluded that calcium ion facilitates contraction produced by acetylcholine in normal Ringer as well as in the presence of Gallamine. The results of this in vitro study may indicate that, after surgery intravenous administration of calcium may enable the animal to recover from the effects of Gallamine more quickly and thereby reduce the chances of risk of paralysis of respiratory muscles.en_US
