The present investigation were carried out in Pasighat Forest Division of East Siang District (Aruanchal prdesh) . The experiment was laid out in split plot design using six land use system (T), three soil layers (L) and replicated thrice. The six landuse system were natural grassland (T1) natural forest (T2). The soil sample were collected from three depth of soil layers viz, 0-15 cm (L1). 15-30cm (L2) , 30-45cm (L3). The plot size of each landuse system was 50m x 10m except for natural grassland and agriculdture field where the plot size was 1m-1m quadrates. The plant attributet such as above ground biomass, below ground biomass and total biomass were determined while the soil attributes viz., bulk density, particle density, porosity, pH, organic carbon and organic matter were also determined and they were used to estimate the plant carbon stock soil carbon stock and total carbon stock..en_US
