Abstract
Herbal plants and plant-derived medicine are widely used in traditional cultures all
over the world and they are becoming increasingly popular in modern society as natural
alternatives to synthetic chemicals. Medicinal plant materials should be collected from the
appropriate place, and during the appropriate season or time period to ensure the best
possible quality of both source materials and finished products.
