In the present study serious attempt has been made to study the screening of chickpea genotypes against Helicoverpa armigera. Twenty four genotypes of chickpea were screened for resistance against Helicoverpa armigera under field conditions. The antibiosis and antixenosis mechanism of resistance in chickpea genotypes were assessed under laboratory conditions. The biophysical characterization and biochemical components imparting resistance/susceptibility in chickpea genotypes were also carried out in laboratory conditions.en_US
