Abstract
The study attempts to investigate if the graduates core competencies are
able to meet with the requirements set by the employers, besides analyzing the
development effectiveness of personal qualities and employability skills in
university. The objective of the study is to gauge student perspective on the
importance of employability skill, possession and development, to assess the
nature of any influencing demographic/background characteristics on
employability skills, to gauge employers perspective on the importance of
employability skills and the level of satisfaction with the graduates recruited and to
identify the perception differential between employers and graduates on the
importance of employability skills.
