Body Temperature Control in Poultry

Chickens being warm blooded animals have the ability to maintain uniform body temperature. However, the mechanism for accomplishing this is efﬁcient only when the ambient temperature is within certain limits because the birds cannot adjust extreme temperatures. Therefore it is important that chickens should be housed in an environment which enables them to maintain their thermal balance.
