Infertility in the bitch refers to the inability to conceive and produce viable offspring. Apart from improper breeding management, there are various other parameters which are predisposing bitches to be either subfertile or infertile. Endometrial cytology plays a major diagnostic procedure in human, cattle and equine infertile cases and hence present work has been carried out focusing on canine infertility. The study was carried out in Small Animal Gynaecology and Obstetrics Out Patient Ward (SAC-OG-OP) of Madras Veterinary College Teaching Hospital and bitches aged 2-8 years which were brought for breeding advice and also with the history of uterine pathology and infertility were subjected for the study.
