dc.description.abstract | Blood coagulation is an important part of haemostasis. Laboratory evaluation of this haemostatic process involves assessment of coagulation profile. The aim of this study was to estimate the reference range for prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) in normal dogs. These determinations were made on 15 healthy male and female dogs from various breeds using a semiautomatic coagulometer using commercially available kits for human medicine. The range value for aPTT was 43.17±2.39 second and PT range value was 12.12±0.57 second. | en_US |
