Abstract
Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential (BAEP) is an electrophysiologic test that detects the electrical activity of the auditory system from cochlea to mid brain through a input of signal called ‘click stimuli’ via external ear to assess the hearing capacity and brainstem abnormalities. Present study was conducted at Referral Clinic of Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, Madras Veterinary College to standardize the normal electrical potential (BAEP) in a twenty three healthy Labrador retriever dogs. Mean values of latencies (Waves l-V, mS) recorded were 1.43, 2.68, 3.73, 4.84, 5.91 respectively, interpeak latencies for Waves l-II, I-V and II-V were 2.30, 4.48 and 2.18 respectively.
