CONCURRENT THEILERIOSTS AND ANAPLASMOSIS INFECTION IN CROSSBRED COWS - A CASE REPORT

Abstract
Genus Theileria, the intracellular parasite and Gcnus Anaplasma, the intraccllular rickettsia cause the diseases Theileriosis a.nd Anaplasmosis respectively in animals. They are transmitted by ticks and affect a wide range of domestic and Wild animals. Annplasma marginale chiefly affects cattle and causes mortality as high as 80 per cent (Soulsby,1968). Reports on concurrent infection of anaplasmosis and theileriosis in cattle are very scarce.
