Studies on the potassium and sodium concentration in semen and their effect on freezability were undertaken in Murrah bulls, stationed at the Livestock Research Station, Kattupakkam. The mean concentration of potassium and sodium in semen were found to be 98.04±2.77 mg% and 243.0 ± 4.09 mg % respectively. A significant negative correlation of -0.305 was observed between potassium and freezability. There is no significant correlation between sodium and freezability. High potassium concentration was found to be detrimental to freezability.en_US
