dc.description.abstract | Gross and histopathological changes in experimental T. evansi infection in buffalo calves were studied. The main gross pathological changes were emaciation, extensive gelatinization of fat at the base of the heart and in the pelvis of the kidney. The liver, spleen and lungs were congested. Brain was hyperaemic and congested. Atrophy of the gluteal and thigh muscles of semitendinosus, and semimembranous and gracilis were observed. The pleural and peritoneal cavities contained 500 - 1000 ml of serous fluid. | en_US |
