Abstract
Lymphoid neoplasms in bovines have been reported frequently in an endemic fashion in parts of Europe, U.S.A. and U S.S.R. (Ferrer, 1980). In India sporadic cases of lymphosarcoma/leukaemia complex has been reported both in white cattle (Prasad and Chandrasekaran, 1971) and 'in buffaloes (Datta and Dass 1972, Ramachandran et al , 1984) Singh et al., (1979) while studying features of lymphosarcoma recorded an incidence of 70 per 100,000 population in parts of Uttar Pradesh. In this paper a case of acute lymphoid leukaemia encountered in a buffalo is documented.
