Abstract
A 4 year old Crossbred Holstein Friesian Cow was presented to Large
Animal Medicine Referral Clinic of VCRI, Orathanadu with a history of corn
flour feeding anorexia, reduced milk yield and watery diarrhoea for 3 days. On
physical examination, fever, congested mucous membrane, enlargement of the
prescapular lymph node, emaciated body condition and foul smelling watery
diarrhoea were observed. Rumen fluid, peripheral blood smear, whole blood,
serum and faecal sample were collected.
