| dc.description.abstract | A study on “Students’ Perception and Preferences for Online Education during Covid-19 Pandemic” was undertaken in the year 2021-2022 with a sample size of 200 students and 100 teachers. In order to create an efficient online learning environment, the study studied the perception of the students' and preferences of both students and teachers of CCS, HAU, Hisar, Haryana, for several aspects of online classrooms. The flexibility and convenience offered by online learning were considered to be benefits for the students. The results indicated that majority of the students evinced a positive attitude towards online classes in the wake of corona. It was also explored that most of the students (77.5%) lies under score range 70-109 had moderate perception level towards online classes Most (43.5%) of the students preferred both smart phones and laptops for online learning. whereas, desktop (54.0%) was the most preferred device by the teachers for online leaning. WhatsApp was the most preferred communication means for classroom updates. In order to increase the efficacy of learning, it was also discovered that students prefer recorded classes with a quiz at the end of each session. The insights from this article can be helpful in building the curriculum for the new normal, but in the institution where many courses are practical oriented, switching totally to online mode may not be possible and need to devise a hybrid mode. | en_US |
