dc.description.abstractScheduled castes or weaker sections are part and parcel of Indian population. The weaker sections are those who have negative social, human and economic value in society. The weaker sections are depressed classes and are the untouchables . They belong to the lower strata of the society and perform low paid unclean jobs . They are poverty stricken people and are exploited by the effluents Illiteracy and financial hardship of scheduled castes are responsible for their worst conditions, placing them at the lowest ladder in rural society .en_US
