Abstract
Study of population growth is of great practical importance in various fields of researches. In particular, its use in biological systems needs no emphasis. Its mechanism involves a multiplicity of variables, their interdependence and difficulties in measuring the effects of some of them. The use of models helps to include only the important variables to represent a real situation. Thus models simplify the given situation for convenience of analysis and are capable of providing population projections. Their usefulness arises out of tile fact that Actual counts of the population by census methods are available only at infrequent intervals. Whereas for statistical purposes, it is necessary to have as accurate an estimate as possible of the population in this year.
