The present investigation was carried out at Students Instructional Farm of C.S.A.U.A. & T. Kanpur (U.P.) during Rabi season of 2022-23 Three level of each phosphorus (20, 40, 60 kg ha-1), with chickpea varieties (JGK-6, RVG-202, RVG -203 ) were used. There are 9 treatments combination T1 [20 kg P2O5 with JGK-6 ], T2 [20 kg P2O5 with RVG-202], T3 [20 kg P2O5 with RVG-203], T4 [40 kg P2O5 with JGK-6], T5 [40 kg P2O5 with RVG-202], T6 [40 kg P2O5 with RVG- 203], T7 [60 kg P2O5 with JGK-6], T8 [60 kg P2O5 with RVG-202], T9 [60 kg P2O5 with RVG-203] with which tested with three replication in factorial randomized block design (FRBD) with the recommended agronomic practices. Results of the experimental field showed that among the growth characters like maximum plant height and number of branch plant-1 were noted 63.18 cm and 17.48 plant-1 are associated with the treatment T9 (P60 with RVG-203). Maximum number of nodules plant-1 (24.71) and dry weight of nodules plant-1 (183.67 mg) were noted under the treatment T9 (P60 with RVG-203) and yield attributes like Maximum number of pod plant-1, number of grains pods-1 and 100 grain weight in gm. significantly increased were noted 62.86, 1.79 & 19.82 g, respectively. Similarly, maximum grain yield 18.95 q ha-1, stover yield 24.72 q ha-1 and biological yield 43.67 q ha-1 noted with the treatment T9 (P60 with RVG-203). N, P and K content in grain 3.29 %, 0.66 %, 0.64 % and in stover 1.35 %, 0.32 %, 1.79 %, respectively, were found maximum in the treatment T9 (P60 with RVG- 203). Maximum improvement in protein content (20.63%), nutrient content and uptake was significantly affected by the application of various levels of phosphorous. After harvest of the crop, soil properties pH tended to decline from its initial value 7.97 to 7.69 and EC was ranging from 0.27 - 0.34 dSm-1. Available N, P and K build up significantly and values were 219.47, 13.39, 293.56 kg ha-1 respectively under treatment T9 (P60 with RVG-203). Organic carbon significantly increased with the use of phosphorus. On the basis of results of the present investigation summarized above it can be concluded that integration T9 (P60 with RVG-203) obtained best result and followed by T8 (P60 with RVG-202)
