Abstract
India has been a predominantly agrarian economy since time
immemorial. The development efforts over the last four decades have
doubtlessly strengthened our industrial base. However, agriculture
continues to be the main stay of our economy even today. This study has
been undertaken to know the economics of red banana production under
contract farming in Kamataka. The primary data was collected to study
the resource use effieieney, detailed information on input used and output
sold and problems faced by the contract farmers for 35 farmers for 2004-
2005.
