dc.description.abstractSchiff bases of coumarin were synthesized from 7-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin and aromatic amines. Micro analytical data, UV-Visible data, FT-IR, 1HNMR and 13CNMR were used to elucidate the structure of synthesized compounds. All the synthesized compounds were screened in vitro for their antifungal activity against Helminthosporium sp. and Fusarium sp. at 10-1000 µg/ml by spore germination inhibition technique. The synthesized compounds had shown excellent antifungal potential but Schiff base (7d) had shown broad spectrum activity against both test fungi.en_US
