dc.description.abstractFowl cholera (Synonyms: Avian Pasteurellosis, Avian haemorrhagic septicemia) is a common avian disease which may affect all types of birds throughout the world. It is a contagious bacterial disease of domesticated and wild avian species caused by infection with Pasteurella multocida. In the present study was undertaken to isolate and identify Pasteurella multocida type-A from an outbreaks of native chicken. There was more than 60% mortality in the present outbreaks. Swab samples from conjuctival sinuses, oropharynx, oesophagus and trachea were collected from clinically till birds.en_US
