Abstract
The life cycle of Echidnophaga gallinacea was studied for the first time in India under the climatic conditions of Tamil Nadu in two different seasons of the year i.e. south-west monsoon and cold season. The life cycle was completed in 41 and 31 days at a relative humidity of 73% and 77% and at a temperature of 32.3°C and 26.6°C respectively in south-west monsoon and cold season.
