Abstract
Haemagglutination titres of pig kidney cell culture adapted Komarov strain of Newcastle disease virus were insignificant. Pathogenecity tests on the adapted virus at its eighteenth passage level pointed to attenuation of the virus from its original state. The virus at its seventh passage level was found to be safe and immunogenic in six-week old birds. The cell culture adapted virus at its seventh passage level was found to retain its spreading nature to in contact birds.
