Abstract
The present investigation entitled “Genetic Variability, Correlation and
Path Analysis for Yield and its Attributing Characters in Castor (Ricinus
communis L.)” was carried out at Agricultural Research Station, Anand Agricultural
University, Sansoli during kharif 2020-21 in a randomized block design with three
replications to analyze genetic variability, correlation coefficient and path coefficient
analysis in 49 genotypes of castor. The primary objective of the research work was to
know about the genetic architecture of various characters under study and their inter relationship among them. The results revealed that ANDCI 14 is high performing
genotype for seed yield based on per se performance. The genotype SKI 215 showed
highest oil content and also was second highest in seed yield per plant out of total 49
genotypes under study.
