Abstract
Irrigation water is supplied from panam reservoir by canal systems covered
maximum area of panchmahal district. It is necessary to measured performance and
losses during transmission of water for efficient water management. The present study
was conducted Panam canal command area in Godhra. In which three distributaries
namely 29/R, 30/R and 31/R were selected for conducting the present study for
evaluation of canal Performance and for assessment of seepage loss. Performance
measured an approach of water supply indicators such as Adequacy, Efficiency, equity
and irrigation intensity were applied. Whereas the seepage loss was calculated through
field method and modelling approach (SEEP/W software) and identified the
comparison of seepage loss.
