Abstract
The present study investigation entitled “Farmers Perception and Buying Behaviour Towards Chemical and Bio-Pesticides In Samba District” was carried out on the basis of primary as well as secondary data. The research was conducted with the help of questionnaire based on the information collected from the consumers of Samba District during the year 2019-2020. The study concluded that Out of 100 respondents, the 46 respondents i.e. (46 per cent) said that they mostly use Carbendazim, followed by 21 respondents i.e. (21 per cent) said that they mostly use Metrabuzin,followed by 15 respondents i.e. (15 per cent) said that they mostly use Hunter and bio-pesticidesfollowed by the 11 respondents i.e. (11 per cent) said that they mostly use Sampann, followed by the 7 respondents i.e. (7 per cent) said that they mostly use Herbicide and Bio-pesticidesand Bio-Pesticides. Out of 100 respondents, 70 respondents i.e. (70 per cent) said that they purchase chemical from local market and 30 respondents i.e. (30 per cent) said that they purchase chemical from government agencies. The study also found that Out of 100 respondents, the 38 respondents i.e. (38 per cent) said that they are highly satisfied, followed by the 28 respondents i.e. (28 per cent) said that they are satisfied, followed by the 19 respondents i.e. (19 per cent) said that they are neutral, followed by the 11 respondents i.e. (11 per cent) said that they are dissatisfied, followed by the 4 respondents i.e. (4 per cent) said that they are highly dissatisfied. Using garret ranking technique Promotional activities influence you was ranked as 1st, Pesticides have price value, Profit margin charge by company is reasonable, Past experience is the reason for purchasing, pesticides are problem solving, you get good quality produce after using pesticides, availability of pesticides when I need, dealer influences you to purchase were ranked as 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and , 8threspectively.
