Abstract
Diaphyseal fractures of tibia were treated with minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis technique using Locking Compression Plate (LCP) under general anaesthesia in 3 goats. The plates used were 3.5 mm LCP with 12-18 mm screws in the goats weighing 18.3-21.4 kg. The clinical, radiological and histopathological evaluation revealed uneventful fracture healing with secondary callus formation in all the animals. The technique and implants were found adequate to provide stable fixation without any intraoperative and postoperative complications.
