Abstract
The study on Statistical Modelling and Path analysis of growth traits was undertaken in Madras Red sheep at Sheep and Goat breeding unit, Post Graduate Research Institute in Animal Sciences, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University using secondary data of different age group of animals born between the years 2007 and 2016 and primary data on morphometric measurements such as Chest Girth (CG), Paunch Girth (PG), Body Length (BL) and Withers Height (WH). Non-linear growth models, viz., Brody, Richards, Von Bertalanffy, Monomolecular, Gompertz and Logistic models were used to describe the growth pattern and to estimate the growth parameters.
