Abstract
In poultry, brooding period is a crucial period which needs to be addressed properly to reduce chick mortality. Licorice was supplemented at 0.5 and 1 per cent level through feed in Vanaraja birds and production performance was studied. Increased (p<0.05) body weight and feed consumption were recorded in Vanaraja birds supplemented with licorice at 1 per cent and 0.5 per cent than control. The overall livability and performance were increased in licorice supplemented groups than control.
