Abstract
A six year old Labrador retriever with the history of growth over the skin of submandibular region was presented. The growth was removed and subjected for histopathological study. The tissue revealed variable sized vascular channels filled with blood. The vascular channels were lined by pleomorphic cells. The stroma revealed compact pleomorphic, hyperchromatic spindle shaped cells with prominent nucleoli and mitotic figures. The neoplastic cells forming neovascular structures originated from vascular endothelial cells. The mass composed of both cavernous and solid type of haemangiosarcoma. Based on the histopathological features, the case was diagnosed as cutaneous haemangiosarcoma with a mixture of cavernous and solid type in a Labrador retriever.
