Urethral obstruction by an air gun pellet and its surgical management in a dog

Urinary tract obstruction is a medical emergency leading to severe dysuria and anuria in the affected animals. Urethral obstruction caused by migrating foreign body is very rare in dogs (Houston and Eaglesome, 1999). This paper reports successful surgical management in a case of urethral obstruction caused by an unusual foreign body (air gun pellet) in a male dog.
