Abstract
The occurrences of Besnoitial cysts were recorded in cattle, horses, reinder, rodents and reptiles (Levine, 1985) and the disease manifestation was reported in cattle (Pols, 1960; McCulley et. al., 1966 and Bwanghamo, 1968). Campbell (1954) observed a haemorrhagic syndrome in chickens associated with an organism of similar morphological features. In India, Sivadas et. al., (1965) recorded a similar disease in poultry. Formalin preserved specimens from a White Leghorn Pullet of 18 week old received for histopathological diagnosis were utilised in this study.
