Abstract
A retrospective study carried out to estimate the incidence of fractures of long bone in skeletally ímmature dogs (March 2012-Feb 2015) revealed a higher incidence of fractures in dogs under the age of 6 months. The femur was the most commonly affected bone. The major cause of long bone fractures in puppies was due to automobile accidents or falls.
