Abstract
The focus of the present study is to generate data for evolving the molecular pathogenesis of Newcastle disease in chickens using different pathotypcs (both virulent and less vírulent) of Newcastle disease virus. The important objective is to determine the relative changes in the expression of certain genes involved in inflammation, immunity and apoptosis against infection with different pathotypes of NDV. For the in vilm study Chicken embryo fibroblasts and for in vívo splenocytes from maternal antihody negative chickens were used. The lcntogcnic NDV strain D58 and a viscerotropic velogenic isolate of NDV- Dl65 were used.
