Abstract
An outbreak oi coccidiosis at the goat unit maintained for experimental purposes
by the Department of Nutrition, Madras Veterinary College was studied. A total of 25 kids
and two samples from dead kids were examined. Twelve revealed presence of oocysts
of coccidia and there was evidence of multiple infection. Measurements of the sproulated
oocysts were taken and the species were identified as Elmerla pan/a, E. ninakohlyakimovae
and E. crandallis on the basis of oocyst morphology
