Abstract
A disease outbreak among broiler chicken was tentatively diagnosed as richomoniasis. The protozoan found in the blood smears and liver impression smears was identified as Tetratrichomonas gallinarum by its lmrphology. The role of this Iower digestive tract trichomonad in disease causation, its pathology, symptomatology and treatment have been discussed.
