The present studies indicate that new unconventional expeller pressed kosum cake is non-toxic and safe to feed to livestock and poultry. It can most successfully and economi cally be used in ruminant feeding systems upto 100% replacemen of nitrogen of conventional niger seed cake. It can also be used safely and economically upto 16.8% of broiler mashes without any adverse effect either on their health or carcass characteristics. The expeller pressed kosum cake is considerem to be a self balanced feed with respect to energy and protein contents.
