Sheep is an important and most versatile animal among
the livestock species and with their multifaceted utility play an
important role in the Indian agrarian economy. They have excellent abilities to survive over a prolonged period of drought and semi starvation conditions and are less prone to extreme weather eonditions. They are economical converters of grass into valuable products like meat and wool.
