The poultry farming activity in India has achieved phenomenal growth in the last few decades. This is well substantiated by the fact that egg and poultry meat production has raised from 5300 millions and 1,21,000 tonnes in 1970 to 34,034 millions and 42,00,000 tonnes respectively in 2002.
