Poultry farming in India has achieved a tremendous growth in four and half decades from an age old backyard farming to most sophisticated agro based Industry using modern technology. Analysts estimate that the poultry sector in India has been growing at a much faster rate along with other industries such as British Poultry Organisation (BPO) and securities market. Over the past decade the poultry industry in India has contributed approximately Rs.10, 305 million to the Gross National Product (GNP).
