Revenue assurance

Revenue assurance is defined as the process within an organization of ensuring that all possible revenue is collected accurately and in a timely manner.The central idea is to create the tool which is a combination of Monitoring, Base, lining, Auditing, Synchronizing, Investigating and Compliance. Also ensuring that total rightful revenue generated on utilizing the services of operator, should reach the operator causing minimal loss i.e. to assist an operator with its investigation, diagnosis and recovery of these revenues. A set of ongoing activities focused on the detection and correction of data discrepancies to assure the realization of all earned revenues, while simultaneously assuring that all unnecessary costs are driven out of the revenue life cycle. For Telco’s, this includes the following: • Accurate charging for the services delivered • Precise collection of network usage records • Detection and prevention of fraud • Data reconciliation for accurate inventory checks • Integration within provisioning and billing processes • Establishing systems and frameworks for backup and error detection
