Abstract
Bioefficacy of insect pathogenic microorganisms viz., Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki, Beauveria bassiana, Verticillium lecanii, Hetrorhabditis bacteriophora, as well as myco-toxins of B. bassiana and V. lecanii against two key pests of pigeonpea as pod borer (Helicoverpa armigera) and jassid (Empoasca kerri) and compatibility of insect pathogenic microorganisms were studied in laboratory conditions. Field efficacy of insect pathogens against, lepidopteran pod borers Helicoverpa armigera, Plume moth (Exelastis atmosa), Blue butterfly (Eucrysopus cenjus) and Pod fly (Mellanoagromyza obtusa) as well as sucking pests, jassid (E. kerri) and thrips (Meagalourothrips usitatatus) were carried out at Anand Agricultural University, Anand, during 2005-06 and 2006- 07.The salient findings of the research are as follows
