Abstract
Ceftriaxone, a broad spectrum semisynthetic third generation cephalosporin
has excellent activity against gram negative bacteria as well as wide range of gram
positive bacteria and some anaerobic bacteria, including enterobacteriaceae and many
strain of pseudomonas aeruginosa.
The present study was conducted to determine the pharmacokinetics of
ceftriaxone after single dose intravenous and intramuscular administration in Surti
buffalo calves. The ceftriaxone concentration in plasma was determined by High
Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
