In studies on the influence of different intensities of shade on the growth behaviour and nutrient status of leaves of pineapple plants, it was found that the pineapple plants tolerated shaded situations even upto 75 per cent. Under shaded situations, increased leaf area and higher contents of nitrogen, magnesium and chlorophyll in leaves were recorded.en_US
