Abstract
Regenerative veterinary medicine utilizing mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) for the treatment of acute injuries as well as chronic disorders is gradually turning into clinical routine. As orthopaedic disorders represent a major part of all cases in veterinary clinical practice, it is not surprising that they are currently taking a leading role in mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) therapies. The present clinical study entitled “Adipose derived autologous stem cell therapy in selected canine orthopaedic cases” was conducted on standardization of adipose derived mesenchymal stem cell isolation technique, in vitro expansion and characterization of ADSCs and their application for therapy of selected orthopaedic cases in dogs.
