dc.description.abstractPresent investigation entitled, "Combining ability and heterosis studies for horticultural traits in long melon (Cucumis melo var. utilissimus) Duthie & Fullar)" was undertaken at College of Horticulture, Kolar during 2017-18. Eighteen hybrids were developed by crossing sis inbred lines of long melon with each of three testers during kharif, 2017 and crosses were evaluated along with the parents in Randomized Comlpete Block Design with two replication during rabi, 2017,en_US
