Abstract
A field experiment was conducted on loamy sandy soil at the College Agronomy Farm, B. A. College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand (Gujarat) to study the “Effect of sources and levels of sulphur and bio-fertilizer on growth, yield and quality of summer groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.)”, during summer season of the year 2015. Twelve treatment combinations comprising of two sources of sulphur (S1: elemental sulphur, S2: gypsum), three levels of sulphur (L0: control, L1: 20 kg S ha-1, L2: 40 kg S ha-1), two level of bio-fertilizer (R0: without bio-fertilizer, R1: with bio-fertilizer) were tested in randomized block design (Factorial) with four replications. The soils of the experimental field was loamy sand in texture (locally called as “Goradu” soil) having good drainage and having moisture retention capacity. The experimental soil was low in organic carbon, total nitrogen and medium in available phosphorus and high in potassium.
